Son Gokou:

The main character and the hero of our story. His name is based on the Chinese mythological character of the same name. There have been numerous ways of romanizing his name I prefer Gokou. Although he doesn’t look like the Monkey King as described in the legend, he looks human in almost every way. He used to have a tail which at the sight of a full moon transforms him into a giant were-ape beast, Oozaru.

Originally sent to earth as a baby on a mission to destroy the living inhabitants of earth so the planet can be sold to other races across the galaxy, Kakaroto fell off a ravine and lost his memory, becoming the nice boy that we know of today.

He is of a race called Saiyans, who have travelled around space conquering planets and dealing them or if the inhabitants pose a threat, they destroy the planet. He strives on challenging fights but has a heart of gold. In the beginning, he starts out as a mischevious, naïve boy but soon grows up to become good-hearted man as he comes in contact more frequently with the modern Earth society.

He always trains, and his training also always gets him farther in terms of strength, speed, and stamina. He is the first to achieve the long dormant the Super Saiyan form, a form which changes a few properties of his original body, namely the hair, skin complexion, and eyes.

Later, when Gokou’s rage was awakened by witnessing the death of his friend Krillin, his Super Saiyan power was awakened. When he goes Super-Saiyan his eyes turn green and his hair gold. Currently, Gokou can go to the 4^th stage of Super Saiyan power.
