But only the dead man lay there white and blood", and she knows her husband is dead. She experiences happiness because "he come live here. And all I can say is, it was happy year of my life. He was just purely good to me". She experiences threatening because "It stared and peered, that thing my husband had turned into, and shoved its face up to the entrance of our house.
